Foxsemicon Integrated Technology, a Foxconn company specializing in semiconductor equipment, has come under cyberattack.
A message from the attackers appeared on Foxsemicon's website, in which the attackers said they had hacked the company, stealing about 5 TB of data, including customers' personal information.

According to Taiwanese media, Foxsemicon said in a statement filed with the Taiwan Stock Exchange this week that the incident "should not materially affect the company's operations."The company also reported that it restored its website shortly after the attack was discovered and is now working with IS experts to investigate the incident. However, Foxsemicon's website remained inaccessible for a long time and the hackers' message was still displayed in Google search results.

As a result, the company's share price fell about 3 percent in a day on the Taiwanese stock exchange.
So far, Foxsemicon has not disclosed any information about the hackers' claims, nor has it confirmed whether its customers' or employees' personal data was actually leaked, as claimed by the attackers.
Foxsemicon's parent company, Hon Hai Technology Group, did not respond to media requests for comment on the hacker attack on its subsidiary.
